I had one for the ceiling mount bike hoist type setups. It was easy to use and a real space saver. I did find something else that is similar to the bike hook mentioned here. Its a single clip that you can either mount onto a floor or wall. For around 10 Bucks its a bargain. Works really well. I am sure a number of stores have them. If I still had my previous bike with cable operated brakes (damned thieves), this would not be something that i had to worry about.
